LECTURE-CONCERT BY PIETRO RIGACCI

The concert-giving and teaching activities of ‘Boccherini Open 2016’ continue in May with important appointments and a recording of great historical value for the city’s musical traditions. Guest star of the Institute’s open day on May 28th will be Dario Marianelli, a composer who won the Oscar Prize in 2008 for the soundtrack of the film Atonement.

On Friday, May 20th, at 9 pm, there’s a lecture-concert entitled Monumentalità tra licenze ed enigmi, alla scoperta della sonata op. 106 Hammerklavier (Monumentality between liberties and puzzles, discovering Beethoven’s Hammerklavier Sonata op. 106) with pianist Pietro Rigacci.
All concerts are free admission and will be held in ISSM’s “L. Boccherini” auditorium. For more information www.boccherini.it
