The ten concerts of the Lucchese Music Association’s winter chamber music season will be held at the auditorium Del Suffragio of Lucca’s Istituto Musicale ‘Luigi Boccherini’. There will be three months of music with internationally renowned artists and rising stars of the concert scene.

On Sunday, February 26, at 5 pm, there’s a show entitled “L’avida sete” (The greedy thirst) with the “De Labyrintho Ensemble”, directed by Walter Testolin. Sandro Cappelletto, actor and narrator with music by Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa.
Igor Stravinsky wrote of Gesualdo: “Don Carlo Gesualdo … a composer as great as he is disturbing”. “The greedy thirst” gives us a glimpse of the castle’s atmosphere where Gesualdo lived and created his compositions which are witnesses to late Renaissance human changes.
