ALAIN MEUNIER AND NOUS QUARTET AT THE SUFFRAGIO AUDITORIUM

In January the 52nd season of the AML (Lucchese Music Association) chamber music concerts starts. These end in March and present ten concerts on Sunday afternoon at 5 pm in the ISSM Boccherini auditorium, Piazza del Suffragio. The program also includes fourteen lectures and film screenings.

In February, as is the case for some years now, the AML devotes some concerts to Boccherini as part of the “Eighteenth century music in Lucca” project.

On Sunday, February 7th cellist Alain Meunier (see photo), one of the last heirs of the prestigious French cello school, and the Nous Quartet, a young ensemble that in a short time has established itself as one of the most promising Italian chamber music ensembles, winning the Premio Abbiati Italian Music Critics Association prize in 2015 play works by Boccherini and Schubert.
