On Saturday, September 26th, in Camigliano’ parish church at 9 pm, there’s the second evening of the XXXVII Camiglianese Choral festival promoted by the local “Giacomo Puccini” choir with the patronage of the Capannori comune and financial contributions by the CRL and BML Foundations.
Guest choirs include “La Coralina St. Agata di Cadro” (Canton Ticino) directed by Patrizia Cansini (organist Daniela Di Paola; guitar Paolo Di Casola). The women’s group, founded in 2006, will perform a repertoire of sacred music.
The other guest choir will be the “Pasubio” choir from Vallarsa (see photo) from Trento province. The choir has its roots in mountain folk song and in 2016 celebrates 50 years of concerts activities with six CD recordings. The last of these, titled “Oltre le Montagne” (Beyond the Mountains), contains new compositions by their current director, Ivan Cobbe.
The evening opens with the “Giacomo Puccini” choir, Camigliano, conducted by Luigi Della Maggiora.
