Il Rossignolo (Nightingale) – L’Arte della Trio Sonata, April 26 at 6 PM, is the opening concert of the Sagra Musicale Lucchese in the Chiesa Della Rosa in Lucca’s via Della Rosa. Lucca’s longest running festival is one of the region’s most prestigious musical events. The evening features Martino Noferi on recorder and oboe, Marica Testi on flute and Ottaviano Tenerani on harpsichord, performing music by Telemann, Prowo / Schultze, Sammartini, Marais, Vivaldi and Bach. Il Rossignolo is a group specializing in the study and performance of early music on historical instruments.
